Is this a 720-cells (four dimensional pentahedron)?

I do believe it is 720 cells.

Beautiful! I've been studying the inner structure but still haven't grokked it.

This is great. I tried Jenn3D, and while it's really cool, I can't get it to import into Max, because the STL output is not recognized. So I've been faking a similar effect to this using some techniques with renderable splines, the Spacing Tool, and Array Tool in Max. Results are quite similar, but exporting to an external renderer can be a pain, because you have to convert the renderable splines to editable meshes, which then you end up with possibly thousands of objects. The final render is almost just like a Jenn3d object though. ;)

Download Meshlab for free. Import .stl and then go to file tab and export mesh as .obj. But what you did in Max is better than this, but it is still fun to play with.

Lovely render with a lot of detail. I love the way you've framed the symmetry with the camera angle.
